On the afternoon of February 21, 2023, the China Clean Transportation Partnership (CCTP) successfully held its 21st salon seminar on the decarbonization of the automotive industry supply chain. Experts from China Automotive Technology and Research Center, BMW, Guangdong Institute of Standardization, Ideal Auto, CATL, Tsinghua University, and Catena-X discussed in-depth how to promote decarbonization of companies and products in the automotive industry supply chain, and explored a series of related issues such as how China-Germany cooperation can ensure the safety and sustainability of the supply chain. The carbon accounting standards and boundary issues were found to deeply affect the decarbonization process of the automotive supply chain.

Regarding domestic electric buses, Lulu XUE, director of transportation programs at WRI, believes that China's new energy bus industry will reach a watershed in 2020, shifting from being policy-oriented to market-oriented. With the withdrawal of purchase subsidies and the shift of subsidies from "cars" to "charging stations," as well as the gradual withdrawal of operating subsidies, vehicle manufacturers, bus operators, and charging operators will face different opportunities and challenges.
